Dr. Miller and his team are amazing. They took Maisie in during an emergency on a Saturday when they were all booked up. They saw her in-between appointments, figured out the problem and gave her medicine to fix it.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! Dr. Miller and his team (Kirsten, Sabrina, and Jason) were fantastic! You can tell that Dr. Miller does this for his passion for animals. He met our Nala (a senior girl with a mass on her spleen) and answered all of our questions before scheduling her (next day) for a splenectomy. He took out a mass the size of a bowling ball and you wouldn’t even be able to tell because he made sure her stitches were internal and used surgical glue to close it up. Many other places would just staple her up and send her off but he took those extra steps solely for her comfort and because he cares. His prices are much more affordable than any place I’ve called for an estimate, his lovely staff called multiple times for updates and to ease my mind, and when she was heading out with us, she was still groggy and slipping on the tile. Can you believe his staff brought out a red carpet to give her some traction all the way to the door? I’ve never met such kind professionals. It was a blessing to find this veterinary office and I wish so many blessings to each and every single person at Durham Animal Hospital. You are all wonderful people!

We have had an outstanding experience with Dr. Miller and his staff during the time our precious dog Heather had her final month of life. When we first met Dr. Miller, he was able to see her as soon as he was able to and give us an accurate diagnosis, and delivered the news in a professional and compassionate manner due to the severity and sensitivity of the situation. I can not say enough good things about everyone at Durham Animal Hospital. I took my pet guinea pig in after he stopped eating or leaving his house. First off, I want to say how amazing Dr. Miller and his staff are. I’m a first-time pet owner and have no clue what I’m doing in regards to caring for a pet. My sweet Nebula has been going to the Durham Animal Hospital since we brought her home. On our first visit, she took a liking to Dr. Miller and his staff immediately! She loved everyone and wanted everyone to give her some love! Dr. Miller is super informative and very down to earth; he makes me feel like any questions or concerns I have are not silly and takes the time to thoroughly explain everything to us. What’s even better is that if there is anything that we are truly concerned about, he isn’t too quick to give medicine; he will tell us all kinds of alternatives to things we can try to do. We have been very lucky to have found them. I never have to worry about my dog’s care when we visit Durham Animal Hospital. I walk in and I’m greeted with the sweetest of smiles as if I am a family friend. Dr. Miller is very thorough to make sure all problems are addressed and will take the time to sit down and talk me through all the steps I need to ensure my dog is properly cared for. My dog gets so excited when we visit instead of getting anxious, which is rare when we go out. They’re the best! 2 years later… My dog passed away of old age recently. I am a 2nd generation Dr. Miller devotee. I have heard horror stories about things people have experienced at vets, so when we moved to Greensboro (45 min away) there was no question in my mind we would be making that drive to take our pets to the same vet my parents have for years. I trust Dr. Miller implicitly with my babies and he has never shown anything but kindness, expert knowledge, and the willingness to do anything it would take to care of my animals as if they were his own. I’m so grateful to have wormed my way into his practice via my folks 🙂. Also, it should be mentioned that the first person you’ll see when you go into the office is Debby, who might be the loveliest human alive. She will instantly help ease any of your anxiety or fear. Brought my kitten here for the first time and they took excellent care of my baby and the Doctor is so down to earth and caring. I am so happy I found this little gem in Durham. Dr. Miller and his staff are all friendly, fun and caring, they just seem to love what they do! They do their absolute best to make our puppy feel comfortable every time we come in. As for the service, I never feel like I’m waiting around for too long and I’m never shocked by the bill, so that’s a positive for me. Dr. Miller and his staff are true miracle workers. My dachshund Ziggy had a few slipped discs and lost the function of his rear legs. I feared that I would lose him. Dr. Miller was so compassionate, clearly outlining the best case scenario and the worst case scenario, setting very realistic expectations. Following medication protocol, laser therapy, and strict rest my puppy is now doing well. Almost 3 months later, Ziggy is walking around being his old playful and curious self. Thank you Dr. Miller.

We have 5 pets, so we spend a lot of money on veterinary care. I would recommend this practice to anyone. They always make time for you if your pet is in distress, and everyone on the staff, from the front desk to the techs. to the vets, are first-rate!
The veterinarians, vet techs., and staff always provide excellent service and “bedside manner” to our three dogs. Durham Animal Hospital is the best and I will definitely take my pets there again. Thanks for a job well done!
